Normally both the NHS and Private Health Insurance are able to look after you if you believe you may have skin cancer. However, currently, this capacity is severely limited, This may mean a longer wait for a diagnosis or treatment. The NHS recommends that dangerous skin cancers are seen and assessed in two weeks from you seeing your GP, and appropriate steps are taken to remove these lesions.
If you have a suspicious mole or skin lesion that the NHS is unable to see and treat in a timely manner then please contact us and book a consultation with one of our experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeons.
Our experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeons have spent years treating skin cancers in the NHS and privately. We are able to see, diagnose and remove lesions. These would then be sent to the lab for analysis and you would be informed of the outcome and the next stages of your care.
Typically, we aim to see and treat patients within two weeks, but normally sooner if you are anxious.
